Legend Golden Retrievers is a reputable preservation breeder and home based kennel producing Golden Retrievers for the AKC show ring, performance sport (obedience, agility, dock diving, rally etc) and as loving companions and family members since 1980.  We are located on 10 acres in Barry County, 30 minutes north of Kalamazoo MI and 1hr west of Lansing. ​ ​ All litters come from AKC registered, fully health tested parents. The sire and dam of the litters usually have AKC Championships or performance titles or both! ​ We have conformation champions and companion pets who live all over Canada, the USA, and other countries around the world. ​ OFA health testing Plus all DNA testing for VwD, DM (Degenerative myelopathy) plus coat colour DNA. All testing done through Embark. All of the OFA results are public and can be researched on the OFA, Orthopedic Foundation of America website. All puppies have had early neurological stimulation, raised with Puppy Culture, Volhard Temperament tested, graded for conformation and go home with a written health guarantee​ and a lifetime of breeder support. ​We breed occasionally, and it is because we are looking for a puppy to show and do events with. From time to time, we have puppies available which are sold on an AKC limited registration with a spay/neuter contract requiring spay/neuter to be done by 18 months of age
